2012年6月24日 "This is my first day"

"Ooooh. He's a virgin!" She said looking over at another employee.
"All I've been told is that it's a 'fun' shift to work on."
She smile at me, and I went back to my assigned tasks.

2012年4月25日 "I feel dizzy-- I'm whiting out..."

Stop being such a pussy!
The nurse looked at me and said, "Do you want to look away?"
"No. No, I have to watch while you do it." I said shaking my head.
"Most people look away."
"I imagine things are worse if I look away." I said to her.

So she gave me the flu shot, without any problems. Then after that, the following test was to take my blood. I said if I don't watch, like I did with the flu shot, I might faint.

"Don't worry I'll keep you up to date on how I feel." I assured her.

The needled went in, and for a minute solid on my left arm they looked for a vain. I continued breathing just hoping to get it over with, staring at them and the needle as it wiggled around my vain. I didn't really mind at first.

Things changed when they switched arms to get my blood. That's when I started to feel sick. At first I got really hot and started sweating bullets. "Keep breathing." I heard several times. Soon, I started to feel a little nauseous.

"I feel dizzy-- I'm whiting out."
Immediately after I said that I was out. I literally don't even remember what happened next or slumping over. I woke up looking at the ceiling with 5 female lab staff, nurses, and or whatever their title is all around me. Heaven has fat chicks, just warning you guys. Thankfully I'm not bothered by that, because it's not my choice, and they were nice to me. Bringing me orange juice was also a bonus. Besides if heaven has uppity bitches, what's the fucking point? Anyway, I didn't remember slumping over, getting on my back, or anything. I'm sure they were just about to do stuff to me or they were looking for a sharpie. That's about the time when my eyes fixed on them.

"Are you okay? Just take a deep breath."
"I feel kind of heavy. Did you finish?"
I really just wished this whole thing was over. And I wanted breakfast.
"No, I had to pull out when you started to slump over."
Haha, she had to pull out. Depending on what I would be doing, I might not have pulled out.

I got back to business,
"Are we able to finish or?" They looked at me like I was insane.
"Well, let's give you a moment to breathe. Drink some orange juice."
"Thanks. Well, I'd like to continue since I'm awake now." Which basically means, let's rock'n'roll lady, the show must go on.

"Yes, but we don't want you to get sick." Fair enough. They waited about 2 minutes before continuing.

Then they switched back to my left arm, and took my blood quickly without any problems. I felt a little sick when I left, but otherwise alright.

"I hope I didn't panic any of you. I did warn you at least!" I said smiling.
"And we're grateful you warned us!" Yes, yes you are.

I'm good at warning people.
Unfortunately some people take my warnings with little or no seriousness because they think I might be joking. Bad idea!

They were very nice to me, and like always I tried to talk myself through it since I'm not really into needles in my body.
Masks and shit? No problem.
Seeing blood? No problem.
Stab me with metal? Fuck!!!

2012年4月20日 Going/Career

Example of sacrifices for
life, etc
Over the years when I've given instruction, a presentation, or a lecture I have been told that I should consider a job in a field where I will be able to do that. In a sense, becoming a HS teacher or even professor at a university is probably the best route. With that said, the next question comes to mind, "In what?" Frankly speaking, education as a whole is interesting to me, be it social studies, English (language or literature), other foreign languages, and so forth. Even discussing how to effectively teach better is something I enjoy.

With that said, it just means more school and education. How one accomplishes that and what sacrifices have to be made is another issue. Sacrifices have to be made, it cannot always be "take take take", at least in my life it can't be. I wasn't lucky enough to be born into a Saudi Prince's family, and in actuality I would consider that to be unlucky, because I'd probably be a Muslim.

Over then next few months I will probably discuss this further. But for now, I pretty much know where I'm going to be. And that's around people who let me help them with wanting to learn, ask questions, and them helping me with learning along the way.

2012年3月29日 Keep out OR enter

I love it when life or signs in life are self-explanatory, cutting not only the middle man - in half with a fucking, yes sexual intercourse, chainsaw - but also bullshit as well. Today was a no B.S. assessment of work and progress with work, and work. It was nice, kind of like putting feet in warm water because the sun is out long enough to heat the water. This is also how my feet get sunburned often...

2012年2月23日 Working Man yearning for home

Bird guts smell
like Oregon's coast.
I knew it!
I was just about to fall asleep, then my phone vibrated - for my pleasure - several times. New text from Krimull? I better read it!
I just spent the day picking bird guts out of an engine. I think it was a seagull. It smelled like Oregon's coast. And my hand smells like it, reminds me of home mmmmm.
I've missed home for some serious reasons too, but nothing as hardcore as that, outside of hardcore porno. I guess when you're a working man - Rush, - you come up with whatever you can find. In this case bird guts, or what's left of them. I almost feel like this should be a Campbell's soup commercial with only the video of removing bird guts and a looping voice saying "Mmm-mmm good."

Wipers optional

2011年9月23日 No sleep (part 1)

Can't sleep clowns will eat me.
This morning I showed up late to work by about 10 minutes or so. It was mainly because I'm getting home waaaay late some nights. I blame this on metal and my commuting distance. I'm so far away that after metal, I can't just get "dropped" off. As a result my sleep suffers, I suffer, and my knee treats me like shit, which is another topic. Honestly I can't blame metal, because I like metal. Yet I'm extremely depressed that I might have to say "No." to metal because I live far away and it would affect school and work. This bothers me.

I normally get up around 5am, if things are normal. Lately things have not been normal. I haven't been sleeping well do to my knee and some other factors, like metal.  I have a tendency to forget I just said something a few minutes ago and I repeat it. Did I mention earlier that sometimes sleep allows me to forget things and then I repeat it again?

I would feel the same this if
I were this chick, err, or is it a dude?
Okay, a few emotional-intellectual issues also, but I'm not going to talk about them here. I would have written about them in my journal, but I lost that somewhere at or around work. That sucks since I'm not sure where it is, or rather where it went or if it's genuinely in good hands or bad hands. I'd like to believe it is in good hands. And I suppose if I were able to sleep, feeling and believing it's in good hands would help. Although the loss of my journal has not taken sleep away from me so far. If I continue with whining and bitching about my journal, there would be an expectation to do such with Ray Ban Wayfarers and women's pants. What I don't get is why people spend 150 dollars on sunglasses (Wayfarers) only to look like a smug piece of shit? You don't need to spend 150 dollars on sunglasses to look like you don't give a shit about life.

In other news, Dapl (Drunk-And-Potato-Loving) mentioned he is being forced out of his place and is moving to Montana. This is depressing all together and I also lose sleep when I think about that along with the other intellectual-emotional issues I said I would not mention, or rather not mention.

Maybe I'll mention them, but first I need to buy a new journal! Or bourbon. Or something. Or bourbon-something. I have some ideas, but I think they involve drinking instead of buying a new journal.

I'm just hoping my sleep schedule kicks back into higher gear soon and I am less mentally fucked throughout my day. More information on whiny little bitches here.

2011年8月2日 Make up your mind

Today was my first day back at work after two weeks.

Round I, FIGHT!
Upon entering the building, I noticed one of my three bosses. He asked me if I was okay to work. I said yes. He then started to rant towards me about how "If it were my call I wouldn't let you come into work." I actually was surprised, because this was the same guy who told me that I shouldn't need to take two weeks off from work. He further trailed off with things such as sitting to long will make me uncomfortable, and I'm "obviously still in pain."

Most of my pain at that very moment was sheer disappointment at his flippity-flop stance on the issue regarding my knee. I must admit, yes I am still in pain and yes it is hard for me to sit still for more than an hour, but I am at work and I can do my job, unlike most people in government today.

As promised I even brought photos of my surgery for him, all of which are photos of the INSIDE of the knee only. My boss grumbled that he did not want to look at them, probably assuming that it looks horrible (i.e. operating room table, blood, Chuck Norris, etc). Here is the closest online image I can find to pictures of my own surgery. This was the first part of the day that confused me.

Bonus stage, FIGHT!
The second part is with that strange quaint chick I mentioned a while back. The last time I saw her, she was quite cordial and seemingly talkative. Yet today she came in wearing a snow beanie, one that covers the ears and as soon as she came in she said in low startled voice,

"Oh, uh you startled me,"
My first thought: Uh, I work here bitch. What the fuck?
"Um, I'm going to study somewhere else."
Bitch is crrazzy!

This was done in less than 4.36 seconds. I pretty much laughed it off as it provided for cheap entertainment. I'm wondering if she was just freaking out over the fact that she had a goofy looking hat on, or if she is just uncomfortable around me, which if this happens to be the case she literally is the living incarnate of the Narrator in Fight Club.

After she walked out I began laughing inside my mind, as I felt like quality, quantity, and just general nature of her strange mannerisms reminded me of this short 16 second video.

2011年7月31日 Work and government

My boss called me last Friday. I was happy since he told me he needed to know my schedule and what days I will be free to work. I told him I was pretty much ready to work everyday. Totally sweet I thought, until I looked at his schedule for the rest of the summer.

Absolutely nothing changed about my schedule whatsoever.

I was hoping to pick up someone's hours to make money so I can spend it on hookers and pot, but I'm under the impression that my boss doesn't want to give anyone 20 hours or more. On the upside, the swelling in my knee has gone down, even though I'm still gimping around.

Honestly I'm just looking forward to getting something done this summer, even if it's a meager allowance of work. So far the worst part of the summer is that I haven't even had a full day of physical sunshine on my body since the surgery.

I'm voting for the former.
As for the debt ceiling, blah blah blah, it was figured out, although somehow we still have debt, so not much change there, or at least any that . The funny part is how the markets for gold right now are open, and yet the gold index hasn't changed much except for a small ten to twelve dollar drop in price per ounce.

Nothing is going to change, crude oil is still near or at $100 per barrel, the yen is fudge-packing the dollar (right now 77 yen to one US dollar), and most of our politicians still think it's appropriate to cut some services for poor people. This one goes out to our special friends in the government.

EDIT, okay a deal has been reached, but nothing so far appears to be set in stone. Who knows what Monday will bring? Hopefully tacos and a coke.

When things in life go to hell or begin to suck, I remind myself to go outside, take a breather, and have a Coke. I'm sure I will do this when World War 3 happens, or the next time some chick says, "I love you."
