2011年12月6日 Giving your soul a place to rest

Today I explained to a co-worker that I love driving at night. Unfortunately the car I'm borrowing from Fozzjnen broke down last week, so I'm immobile at present. That's fine, that's not really why I need money, but mainly for living/school expenses and Jew-stuff. Having "living" and "Jew-stuff" in same sentence is kind of redundant, as Jew-stuff is part of living and IS living. Judaism is life, and everything else is just a part of life.

Anyhow, I'm telling my co-worker about driving and what it means to me.
I'll try to summarize.

Sometimes at night, when everyone else is asleep, we find ourselves unable to sleep. Sure we can wait around, whack-off, fuck someone, do coke, get drunk and pass out, but sometimes that doesn't always work, unless you're doing it every night and when it gets to that point you are just trying to escape. So instead of that, we have to get out for a drive, at night.

At night, when the roads are clear and everyone else is asleep, we have an opportunity to let our soul go on a little journey. Some journeys are longer than others. Some are actually only an hour long, whereas others might be several days long (i.e. someone driving from one state to another for sake of their soul).

Before driving at night,
this is pretty much all I did when
my soul couldn't sleep.
What does that mean? Sake of your soul? It means you're doing what your heart and soul tell you to do. And this commentary ("heart and soul") can be found in Deuteronomy's pages, however I won't expound on those issues.

So on those nights, in my case, I'd drive. I'd find a place to let my soul rest, even for just a moment. Through the dark hills, the long dark nights, those nights where God doesn't talk to you or you can't hear him. Or rather, your spirit is dried up: this is when it's time to check-in to the hotel for your soul. You won't find this at home. You won't find it at work. You'll find it in the people you know and see, or know but are absent. The people care about, or love. You find that hotel for your soul, on that journey, through dark hills, and dark roads. And in nothingness of the listless night.

But if there was nothingness inside you'd be asleep, sound as baby. You wouldn't have dreams that wake you up in a sweat. You wouldn't have nightmares about other times and people. About love, about death, about life. You wouldn't have to worry about those issues if there was nothing. But there is something, and that's why your soul can't sleep that night.

That nothingness is out there, outside of your body, outside of your soul. And it's haunting your soul. So you go out, and you rest your soul. You rest it the best way you can, by moving yourself around the world, letting the world move around you and the Sun, as you drive through dark hills and empty roads. You can do it alone or you can do with someone else with a dry soul. I've done before. Alone and with another. You find just enough time to give your soul a pit stop, refuel and keep going. No racing soul is without a pit crew of friends and loved ones, without these, you can't win your race. No, that's wrong, you can't even participate. How can anyone drive when their soul is already dried up and cold?

And it's not the race, it's YOUR race. I can't race your soul's race, you can't race mine. But you could contribute, and in most cases when someone you love or care about, a friend or family member, when they do contribute you'll feel it. You might not say it, or know how, but you do.

So when you go to bed that night. And not much has changed, you might have to do again: you might have to give your soul another temporary journey into the night. And you should do this, so that your soul sleeps, even briefly.

You wake up, or rather your soul wakes you up, and when this happens, you'll know you're ready to go about your new day.

***
When I finished my spiel to my co-worker I realized I was doing the right thing choosing God and choosing life. I need life. And I need a place for my soul, where that place is on Earth I don't know, but as long as it keeps my heart warm towards those I care about, I realize I am doing the right thing. And the price is worth it.

Believing in God, Chuck Norris, Odin, or Waldo, I don't care what you believe. But there is a soul, and you've got it.

Do you have the long dark nights, where God stops talking?
When you don't hear the sounds of nature?
When you don't hear or feel with your soul anymore?
What would you do, when you realize your soul doesn't have a place to rest?

No seriously, those aren't rhetorical questions!

2011年11月26日 Good job for me. Fuck you idiot driver.

No, your beat up Honda Civic isn't
better than my Spanish-galleon-
sized-battle-wagon of a car.
Thank you for turning on your fucking lights AFTER I passed you and flickered my on and off! I'm always happy to see that when I can get someone behind me with their lights off to turn them on.

Anyone else experience shit like this? Some asshole ahead of you doesn't turn on his lights at 11pm at night?

What the fuck?

At least I was able to do a lap! Haven't driven for leisure, even briefly for a long while...

2011年8月18日 You should have goals

When I drive around I listen to loud music, in fact, I think I'm losing my hearing to the awesomeness of having a sub-woofer. Anyhow, none that really matters, what really matters is having goals with this sub-woofer. This is Fozzjnen's fault to the max.

My objective is simple, play loud music that is annoying and use my first amendment rights as a way to express such. No it's not protesting, because believe I need a permit for that.

How it's done:

  1. All windows must be down
  2. Music must be clear and audible
  3. Deliberate driving
  4. A smiling or smirk-like face, nothing exaggerated

So here's the list (with links):

  • [X] Driving slowly by people who are seating playing gangsta rap filled with Flavor Flav. Only applies if "niga" (i.e. nigger) is being used every 2 seconds for the majority of the song (1/3).
  • [X] Play Fuck the Police by NWA, while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car
  • [  ] Play Cop Killer by Body Count, while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car
  • [X] Play ANY Barry White song, while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car
  • [X] Play the opening of Chimaira's The Flame, next to the open window of a car operated by a woman.
  • [  ] Playing the Mister Roger's theme song next to a day care center or woman walking with small children.
  • [  ] Playing the Exploited's Sex and Violence, while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car.
  • [  ] Playing the same as above, except only with cars positioned parallel with each other and with women.
  • [  ] Playing Otthere Brothers' I Wanna Fuck You In The Ass, while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car.
  • [  ] Playing the same as above, except only with cars positioned parallel with each other and with elderly women.
  • [  ] Playing The Price Is Right fail horn, and then immediately playing The Price Is Right theme, when someone starts at me, while our cars are parallel with each other.
  • [  ] Playing Johnny Rebel's Some Niggers Never Die, They Just Smell That way directed at walking pedestrians. I actually don't really care for this song, but whatever get's people's attention towards racism, which is such a horrible thing.
  • [  ] Doing the same thing as above, but in the back-seat I have a young black man, clean shaven, wearing SS-officer's uniform. It would be awesome to get the police on this one too. Otherwise having the young black male wearing a t-shirt with a huge (and visible) swastika works well too.
  • [  ] Playing the Cannibal Corpse tune Hammer Smashed Face, driving around highly populated areas (sidewalks, events, etc).
  • [  ] Playing Tunak Tunak Tun when I drive by pedestrian (curry) Indians.
  • [  ] Playing Sonic Youth's cover of Moist Vagina in downtown Portland. Driving really slow.
  • [  ] Rick-rolling while in front of, behind, or parallel to a police car, then half way switching to any song that says, "Fuck the police" in the lyrics

Yes there are more, but for now this is all I can remember.

Half-way there.

Today I tried REALLY hard to get Body Count's Cop Killer checked off the list. I really tried. I spent an extra 20 minutes driving around to see if I could get it, but it's hard as hell. I got a lot of pedestrians with it, but no police. Damn it!!

The timing with these things is no different than a impossible to beat game. Think of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES (by ULTRA). That game was fucking hard. I beat it though, eventually.

2011年6月26日 Go Ahead & Stare

That constant thumping noise, isn't in your head.

I kept telling myself, but it didn't really make much of a difference. The thumping continued, but we just ignored it. The Fozzjnen  in the passenger seat just smiled and I grinned back. While I didn't invent the shit-eating-grin, I sure as hell did perfect its usage.

More thumping. At some point I was curious to know if anyone actually was paying any attention to this loud thumping from the trunk. Parking the car I noticed a cop parked a slight distance away, not that it would matter any. Rule 36 applies.., I said jokingly to myself, if zombies attack, which is the reason Rule 36 exists.

BOOM, BOOM-BOOM.
This is totally sweet.
I changed the song to suit the thumping and turned up the stereo after we got back in the car. Was this worth a wait? Was Fozzjnen some kind of sick-mother who like to terrorize people indirectly? How could it make sense to allow this to happen? I didn't even want to bother answering these questions. I knew the trunk was compromised though. Personally I didn't believe the trunk was compromised, but ev...

HHHHHHRRRRRRRNNNNNNNN!
The Fozzjnen after
installing speaker.

I laid the horn down hard-core (think ball-gags), breaking just as hard at the intersection down a side-road. The kid on the bicycle looked dumbfounded and wasn't sure what to do at all. So I continued to leave the horn blasting, until I knew he wasn't going to move at all. I almost turned him into ten points. I was happy at least one of us were paying attention. He wasn't, otherwise he would have seen the creeping-death-looking car approaching him. And more important, he wouldn't have mouthed "My bad."

The last thing I needed was another thumping thing from the trunk.

Dropping off the Fozzjnen was nice, and although our time was brief today and our success with installing the sub-woofer Friday was delayed due to a messed up amp, we're certainly in business now.

Maybe you'll hear us down the road.
Approaching.
